The paper claims that Sven's remarks - saying how he gets his clobber from Italy, watches Italian football on satellite telly, misses the food and the "lively" people - will "anger patriotic England fans".
He hates the weather here, too, we hear - but then don't we all?
"But he loved the £5m a year wages," the rag sniffs.
However, talking about the present England crop of stars, the gaffer burbles that they are the best in his five-year England tenure and beams: "Terry, Lampard, Gerrard, Joe Cole have made great strides forward as well as Rooney."
