It seems, however, that the clean-living Mr Paltrow has tapped into the proley zeitgeist that is the Peter Crouch robot dance.

The Sun tells us that nice guy Chris has written a song dedicated to the stiff-limbed celebratory shuffle of England's skyscraping goal-hanger, which he hopes will top the charts. If released, of course.

Coldplay's lead bloke chuckled to the crowd at last weekend's Isle Of Wight Festival that if England progress as planned in the World Cup, then the band will release something called Do The Crouch.

And here's the hook, apparently, as relayed to the Sun:

"Get up off the sofa / Get up off the couch / Stop what you're doing / And do the Crouch."
