Getting ze villies

German footie fans have put a dent in the PR plans of the World Cup hosts with some dodgy taunting.

Deciding to knock that old-hat flare schtick on the head, earlier this season Borussia Dortmund's finest away posse turned up at rivals Schalke 04 with paraphernalia of an anatomical variety.

Actually, let's not dress this up politely: they waved huge inflatable penises like a mob of excitable teenage lads. The wags.

But a massive rubber dong is nothing without some words to back it up, and those Dortmund boys didn't disappoint with a tasty abusive message.

It basically translated as 'make love to yourselves', but you shouldn't mistake it as some hippie message of peace - more a desperate bid to liven up a 0-0 draw.

Schalke's ground will host four group games and a quarter-final during the World Cup.

Perhaps the German fans' penis-sign combo could revolutionise fandom or put new, ahem, thrust into classic chants like "The referee's a w*****".
